June Shiawassee Arts Center Exhibit

A new exhibition displaying the multi-media artwork of Julie Penfold of Perry, Mary Schiros of Grand Blanc and thirteen members of the Deckled Edge Art Group from the Lansing area opens at the Shiawassee Arts Center in Owosso on June 18th and runs through August 4th. The opening public reception to meet the artists, see their work and enjoy music and refreshments is Friday, June 21, 6-8pm.

Owosso Amphitheater Events for 2013

The beautiful outdoor setting along the river, across from Curwood Castle near downtown Owosso, Michigan, is home to concerts and events all summer long.

Summerfest includes a variety of music styles including R&B, country, rock, big band, and folk. Bring your blanket or bag chair and relax in the beautiful outdoors.

All concerts are free, but an at-will collection is taken at intermission.

All shows are on Thursday's and begin at 7:30 (with occasional opening local talent at 7 PM). Popcorn and soft drinks are available on-site by the Shiawassee-Owosso Kiwanis Club.

Visit the Arts Center to learn about the life and times of Charlie Chaplin. SAC Gallery Manager, Susan Newcom will be presenting a program on the Little Tramp.
