FTC criticized for tolerating false chiropractic claims
Dr. Stephen Barrett is puzzled that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission has never publicly attacked any of the false or misleading claims that are common in chiropractic advertising. [Barrett S. Why doesn't the FTC attack false chiropractic claims? Chirobase, June 1, 2017] The common claims include:
- Vertebral subluxations are a major or underlying cause of many health problems
- Spinal manipulation can improve general health
- Spinal adjustments are effective against a broad range of diseases
- Spinal adjustments are effective against pediatric problems such as earaches, autism, and asthma
- Chiropractic treatment can prevent spinal degeneration

Things I have (mis)learned from the Internet
- To pluralize a word add apostrophe s. Example: Plural of cat is cat’s.
- “Alot” is a word that means “a large amount”.
- “I have went there” Is proper past perfect usage.
- “Your” is an abbreviation of “You are”.
- Their, There and They're all mean the same thing, it doesn't matter which you use.
- Always make videos vertically, it opens up people’s imaginations when they try to visualize what they can’t see.
